Saxophonist Phil Scarff of Natraj tours India, Jan 2015 Indian Classical Concerts in Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Goa, Bhubaneswar, Chandrapur In January 2015, acclaimed Boston, USA, saxophonist Phil Scarff presents concerts of North Indian classical (Hindustani) music in a multi-city concert tour of India. This tour includes solo recitals with tabla and jugalbandi (collaborations) with renowned shehnai exponent Pt. Shailesh Bhagwat (senior disciple of Bismillah Khan) and sitarist Sahana Banerjee. On performances Jan 16-22 and 22-31, Scarff will be joined by tabla master Bhushan Parchure, who trained with Alla Rakha and Zakir Hussain, and has thrilled audiences throughout India and Europe.
